Catholic Life at Elon welcomes faculty, staff, parents, families, and local community members to also participate in our ministry. As Saint Paul tells us, we are many parts, but we are all one body in Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12). Your presence enriches the lives of our students, and your partnership makes possible the Catholic presence on campus. Whether you live nearby or across the country, here are a few ways to get involved! And of course, any time that you are on campus, you are welcome to join us for any of our Masses.
Elon Family Weekend
We love seeing all of our families during Family Weekend! This year, Family Weekend will take place the weekend of September 26-28, 2025. Catholic Campus Ministry will host Family Weekend Mass and Brunch on Sunday, September 28th. You can RSVP for the brunch at Elon's Family Weekend website.
Catholic ERG (Employee Resource Group)
The Catholic Employee Resource Group (ERG) builds community among Catholic faculty and staff and all who are interested in the Catholic Christian faith. We meet around once a month during the academic year. These meetings provide opportunities for fellowship as well as spiritual discussions through prayer and Scripture. The group is dedicated to assisting and encouraging faculty and staff to live out the Catholic faith in their daily lives! For more information, please contact , , or .
Catholic Life Advisory Board
The Catholic Life Advisory Board plays a major role in the health and direction of the entire ministry. The Board's mission is as follows: "With wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit, the Advisory Board is to act in an advisory capacity to the Associate Chaplain for Catholic Life (Catholic Campus Minister) and the administration of Catholic Life at Elon University, in order to support the Catholic Campus Ministry program in fulfilling its mission to the Elon University community." Board members are composed of parents, faculty, staff, and community members who serve for a term of three years and financially support the ministry at an Elon Society level. If you would like to discuss the possibility of serving on the Board, please contact or .
Off-Campus Events
Throughout the year, our ministry will host events in various cities throughout North Carolina and the country. We want to advocate for our ministry, sharing the good news of our students' experiences with families and alumni. These are beautiful opportunities to grow our Church and support our Catholic communities wherever they may be. If you would like CCM to hold an event in your city (or if you would like to co-host or sponsor an event), please contact .
Financial Support
Catholic Life at Elon would not exist without the generous support of our donors. While we are a strong partner with Elon University, we receive no funding from the university and we fundraise our entire operating budget. Catholic students comprise over 22% of the total undergraduate population at Elon University. It is essential during these formative years of their faith and education that they are provided opportunities to practice and grow in their Catholic faith.
