Live Stream of Sunday Mass
Posted on December 31, 1969
CCM will continue live-streaming our 10:00 AM Sunday Mass this semester with Father Peter presiding. Please join us right here at org.elon.edu/ccm/live or on Facebook Live. Even though you are unable to receive the Eucharist, the Church encourages us to make an act of "spiritual communion" during times like these, where we unite ourselves to God through prayer.
How to Participate in a Live-Stream Mass
Starting five or ten minutes before Mass, have ready your phone or computer on Instagram or Facebook. Try to sit in silence and remove any distractions to prepare you for the sacred liturgy.
Listen actively during Mass. Respond out loud when you typically respond at Mass, e.g. "And with your spirit."
During the Prayers of the Faithful, we invite you to comment in real-time any intentions that you would like our community to lift up in prayer. Please know that your comments and intentions are visible to all who are attending.
During Holy Communion, even though you are not able to receive the Eucharist, we invite you to say out loud this prayer of spiritual communion:
My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
