CCM Jamaica Spring Break Application

Join CCM and make a difference with us over Spring Break! Our international service trip will be to Montego Bay, Jamaica, to work with Mustard Seed Communities. Participants will get to experience an authentic Jamaica; beyond the beaches and tourism, there lies a country of widespread poverty. Mustard Seed Communities cares for children who are disabled, forgotten, abandoned, and marginalized. Their children reflect the image and likeness of God just as you do. So when you look into a child's face or feel the gentle touch of a child's hand, know that God is also touching you and looking at you through their eyes. They in turn are seeing you for who you really are and God's presence in you. We will have the opportunity to interact with and help take care of the children. We will also participate in manual work projects in the community. In addition to the service projects, prayer and reflections are incorporated into the daily routine. Students will also receive a day off to enjoy the life and culture of Jamaica. The group will depart on Saturday, March 17, and return to Elon on Saturday, March 24. Father Peter Tremblay will be the official chaperone for the trip.

Thanks to a grant received this past year, CCM's Spring Break trips are completely free to students! Spots are limited, so apply early! Applications will be reviewed by CCM staff and leaders to choose the participants. Although the trip is free, we will require an initial deposit of $250 to confirm your spot. This deposit will be returned to you in full upon departure for the trip in March. However, if you decide to back out of the trip after rosters have been formed, your deposit is non-refundable in order to help offset pre-arranged travel costs. Please contact if you have any questions.

Please note: There is currently a CDC level 2 alert for the Zika virus in Jamaica. Precautions will be in order to prevent contracting the virus, but please know that this a risk you take in attending this trip. Please let us know if you have any more questions about this.
