Join CCM and make a difference with us over Spring Break 2014! Our international service trip will be to Montego Bay, Jamaica, to work with Mustard Seed. Participants will get to experience an authentic Jamaica; beyond the beaches and tourism, there lies a country of widespread poverty. Mustard Seed Communities cares for children who are disabled, forgotten, abandoned, and marginalized. Their children reflect the image and likeness of God just as you do. So when you look into a child's face or feel the gentle touch of a child's hand, know that God is also touching you and looking at you through their eyes. They in turn are seeing you for who you really are and God's presence in you. We will have the opportunity to interact with and help take care of the children. We will also participate in manual work projects in the community. Students will also receive a day off to enjoy the life and culture of Jamaica. Come with us to help serve God's children.
Fr. Gerry Waterman will be the official chaperone for the trip. The trip will have an estimated cost of $1,250, which includes all airfare, travel, meal, lodging, and program costs. The initial, non-refundable deposit of $500 will be due before the end of the semester. Please contact T Huynh-Duc if you have any questions. Applications will be accepted through Wednesday, December 1st.
This application form is now closed.
