The General
Studies program enables students to explore the wide range of intellectual
opportunities available. It enables
students to see the broad view of human civilization, experience great ideas and
art, and learn the science and math skills that no contemporary leader or
individual thinker can be without.
Students
develop their writing and communication abilities in order to learn to work
independently, think critically and constructively, handle quantitative data,
respect cultures worldwide, and develop habits of responsible leadership.
As you can see, this program develops the whole person.
It is a major focus of your college career from beginning to
end—challenging students, preparing them for any future, and, most of all,
deepening and enriching their lives.
