Mebanesville

Back

Mebanesville began in the summer of 2000 as a gathering of longtime friends and neighbors playing a regular, informal Friday evening musical session at a coffee bar in Mebane, NC. Soon audience members were inviting the musicians to play for private parties and community events. The players took the name Mebanesville-- the local community's name in the 18th and 19th centuries-- to reflect their delight in experimenting with traditional-and-not-so sources while living up to their reputation for performing a unique blend of music Americana from yesteryear to tomorrow.
