Lucius Wilson


Guitarist Lucius Wilson has been performing professionally for over four decades, since the age of fourteen. He plays guitar and sings, both solo and with his band Lucius Wilson and Friends, for occasions ranging from small intimate settings to large parties, receptions, and concerts. As a founding member of the band Willie T and the Magnificents he traveled throughout the eastern half of the United States playing on stage with such legends as Tina Turner, Kenny Rogers, and The Allman Brothers Band. He recently returned to his home base in Elon from a series of solo performances in Southern New England. Eclectic in style, Lucius enjoys playing everything from Blues, Rock, and Bluegrass to Gospel and old Standards. While his main instruments are electric and acoustic guitar, he also plays mandolin, violin, guitar harp, bass, and dobro. Lucius operates The Lucius Wilson Guitar and Bass Instructional Studio at 1336 South Church St. in Burlington, N.C.
