Elon Writing Program Administrators

Welcome to the Elon University Writing Program Administrators (eWPA)
web site! In addition to orienting you to the various writing
programs on our campus, we offer this site as a way to access
materials from several of our writing programs. Please use the links
to the left to locate information and resources appropriate to your
search.

General Description of Writing at Elon

As you can see from the links, the site presents College Writing (a
required first-year core course), the Writing Center, and the Writing
Across the Curriculum program (WAC), as coordinated programs. These parts
are formally organized under eWPA, a committee which meets monthly to
to collaborate on supporting writing instruction at Elon. Membership
of this committee consists of the WAC Director, the Writing Center
Director, and the College Writing/English 110 Coordinator. The eWPA
members share a general mission: to promote, improve, and support the
teaching, practice, and study of writing as a form of engaged inquiry
and social action at Elon University.
