What is a Sorority?


A sorority is a sisterhood of women who have gathered together to encourage a common set of ideals and purposes. To accomplish personally and academically in this environment, women search for encouragement and support as well as an outlet for their talents and dreams.

Sigma strives to provide an atmosphere for its women to grow and develop as people and sisters. The women of Sigma Sigma Sigma are dedicated to the growth and nurturing of their sisters.

What is Recruitment?


Recruitment is the new name for "rush." It is a selection process by which Greek organizations get to know potential new members. The purpose of recruitment is for Sigma’s to meet you and you meet the Sigma’s. After a series of days of visiting the various houses, women are selected for membership to different sororities. If you choose to participate in recruitment, there is no commitment to join a sorority. However, Recruitment is a once in a life time opportunity where ladies get a chance to make and create life long friendships across Elon’s campus.



Why should I join Tri-sigma and what can it offer me?


Eight women that wanted to promote strong womanly character, high standard of conduct, and insure perpetual bonds of friendship founded tri-sigma. The women in Tri Sigma at Elon University live by these morals as well. By joining Tri-Sigma you are able to maximize your college experience. Each member adds to the sisterhood of the chapter bringing unique qualities, experiences and perspectives.
