PILOT PROGRAM:MOSELEY TO SOUTH CAMPUS FALL SEMESTER 2014

Welcome to the Elon University Transportation site. Elon University provides many resources for making your way around campus, the Town of Elon and now into the Burlington community. Following the links on the left side of this page will provide information on The Biobus Transportation System for students and the entire community. Scan the Biobus schedule to your phone using the scan codes found on our buses and bus stops.
The Elon University Biobus provides transportation to all Elon students and the public in our surrounding community. To bring you a better service in 2014-2015 we have added a pilot program during fall semester for transportation from Moseley to South Campus. The schedule for this route will be Mon, Wed, Fri 9am-11am Tues. and Thurs. 11:30am-2:30pm. There will be two buses running a continuous loop during these hours with a bus leaving Moseley and the Psychology building every six minutes.
The Outer Loop A and B Lines will continue to service the east side of campus with stops every ten minutes at apartments and The Francis Center.
The Danieley Center Tram will continue service every ten minutes bringing you six stops per hour.
The University Drive Line will be your ride to shopping and restaurants in the areas of University Commons and Alamance Crossing.
The Downtown/East Burlington Line offers transportation to volunteer agencies and shopping in the Burlington Area.
Safe Rides helps prevent driving while impaired and also prevents walking alone late at night. This service provides free rides within a one mile radius of campus. This organization is led and operated by student volunteers for students as drivers, navigators or dispatchers Thursday 10 pm to 2 am and Friday and Saturdays from 10:30 pm to 2:30 am. Safe Rides can be reached during operating hours by calling 336.278.RIDE (7433).
Safe Rides was founded in 1992 when Elon football player Chad Macy was killed in a car accident as a result of driving under the influence. Safe Rides became one of more than 20 programs run through Elon’s service learning program and Elon Volunteers!.
The E-Ride program provides one way rides for students from on campus to off campus residences and from on campus locations to other on campus locations (bars excluded), within a mile and a half radius from the Moseley Center. The purpose of the E-Ride program is to give students a safe transportation option back to their residence. The E-Ride program operates Monday-Thursday (7pm-2am) and Friday (7pm-12am). A ride may be requested by calling Campus Safety and Police at x5555.
Security Escort Service
The office of Safety and Police will provide an Escort Service from 7pm-7am to and from on-campus locations.Students may request an escort on campus by calling X5555.
