In the mid-1990s, when Elon moved from a three
to four-hour curriculum, faculty agreed the purpose was to experiment
with new pedagogies, active learning, writing strategies and collaborative
learning, helping Elon become the engaged, experiential community
it is today. Now that several years have passed since the four-hour
system was implemented, it's appropriate to review what's been accomplished
by this change and reflect upon future directions.
This website showcases some of the innovative
activities that have been implemented. Investigate curricular innovations

Readings links provide additional food for thought.
