Task #3: Information to Educate the Public Check

You want to develop a series of informational topics regarding hurricanes. You are thinking these "briefs" could be posted on your Web site or made into brochures like other counties have done. What information would the public want/need to know? You have started a list of possible topics. Now is the time to complete the list of topics and gather the information.

  • About hurricanes
    • structure, intensity, names
  • Hurricane hazards
    • storm surge, high winds, heavy rains, tornadoes
    • influences on each hazard
  • Hurricane history
    • records - biggest, costliest, deadliest, etc.

You look at samples to get other ideas.
