Our next screening will be:

June 22nd, 2003; 2:00-6:00pm
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church

What is Involved?

SALSA offers comprehensive health screenings to the Hispanic community of Alamance County. Dietitians and nurses conduct these screenings in order to detect chronic illnesses such as diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.

Security:

All the information that we acquire during these screenings is completely confidential.

To participate in our screenings we require that each person read and sign a permission form that explains in more detail the process of the screening and allows us to perform the exams BEFORE conducting any tests. Click here to view a copy of this form. (requires Adobe Reader)

We also require that each person fill out a survey about their nutritional habits and physical activity. This allows us to track the process of the community. Click here to see a copy of this survey. (requires Adobe Reader)

Interpreters are present at all screenings to assist with language difficulties.
