SAAC 5K Run for Respect


What is this race all about?

Elon University is hosting the 3rd annual Run for Respect to raise awareness and money for Crossroads, a sexual assault response and resource center in Burlington.   This event is coordinated by the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC).

What is SAAC?

SAAC is a student run organization consisting of two student representatives from each varsity athletic team.  SAAC meets regularly to plan programs for other student-athletes, coordinate community service events, and communicate issues and concerns to the athletic administration.  SAAC has hosted elderly in an "Adopt a Grandparent" program, conducted a canned food drive to benefit local charities, spoken to children at nearby elementary schools, taken part in a lunch buddy program with Gibsonville elementary school and organized athletic community building events.

Race Specifications

Check-in for the race will begin at 8:00am by Rhodes Stadium on Elon University’s campus.  The race will begin at 9:00am.

Directions to campus:

$5 for students and $15 for community runners. Children welcome. On-site registration will be $10 for students and $20 for community. Register TODAY!

You get a t-shirt, food, musical entertainment, and a great challenge on the scenic 5K course.

There will be prizes for top finishers and prizes given through random drawing.
