Wes Fogleman has a leg up on most incoming freshman.

While most freshmen spend their first weekends getting to know one another and making new friends, Fogleman has been working.

Since May, Fogleman has been staking books and organizing the campus bookstore for the upcoming year. While part of the reason he does it is because it helps him pay for his books, it’s not the main reason.

“I like working here because I meet lots of new people,” Fogleman said.

He has done exactly that as for the last few months Fogleman has rubbed elbows with many upperclassmen and has already found a niche on Elon’s campus.
