:: Students cycle to raise awareness for Push America

Pi Kappa Phi has completed many service projects for Push America, such as constructing playground equipment for the disabled.
Students will ride bikes from the Pi Kappa Phi house to Andrew’s Elementary school, where members of Pi Kappa Phi will host a field day for the students on May 5 to raise awareness about Push America, an organization which works to improve life for peole with disabilities.

Cyclists will meet at the fraternity house at 8 a.m. Saturday and ride the six miles to Andrews Elementary School.

The event is called a “Mini Journey of Hope,” after the national philanthropy event for Push America in which participants receive sponsorships to bike ride from the west coast to the east coast of the United States.

Juniors Kevin Rate and Joshua Donde will participate in the full Journey of Hope this summer.
