The Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts will soon be known by a different name.

In 1994, the center was named in memory of Faith Rockefeller Model, the mother of 1967 alumnus Robert Model. The building will now be known simply as the Center for the Arts or the Fine Arts Center, according to Nan Perkins, vice president of Institutional Advancement.

"Through a complex series of family circumstances the gift simply could not be realized," she said.

Perkins would not release information regarding the amount of the gift.

Perkins said the university is not currently seeking another donor for the building, but there will be a need for one in the future.
