International
Festival
Fall 2003
Given the diversity of the student body at North
Graham Elementary School, the faculty and staff decided that an international festival
would be relevant,
informative, and exciting for the children. A project of this nature
takes a tremendous amount of work so the Elon teacher candidates
in Principles
of Learning and Teaching II: Mathematics/Science Concentration
were asked to take this on as their Adopt a School-Adopt a Class
(AS-AC) project.
It
was a wonderful opportunity for Elon teacher candidates to give
back
to the school that had hosted them for their practicum experience
and to participate
in a social event with a diverse group of students, parents,
and teachers.
