Learn by doing.  The outdoors LC is a living-learning community providing opportunities for outdoor challenges/pursuits and is committed to valuing the outdoors, education, leadership, safety, community, and excellence (NOLS).

To provide students learning opportunities through experience and to develop an outdoor learning community (theme) that provides students with learning opportunities through experience towards these ideals: self-knowledge, ability to go beyond self-imposed limitations, acceptance of responsibility, self-reliance, physical fitness, and leadership; to teach social and environmental responsibilities; and to provide new experiences and opportunities to our students to enhance their Elon Experience.
