Call for Proposals
Now accepting proposals for workshops, paper presentations, oral and audio-visual presentations, round-tables, storytelling sessions, arts-based research exhibitions, poster sessions and symposia. CUexpo will publish the conference proceedings.
Possible themes may include:
- Community-university engagement, partnership and ethics
- Climate change and sustainable community green economic development
- Life-long learning, popular education and community/green mapping
- Environmental and social justice
- Youth engagement, food security
- Community and green economic development
- Aboriginal perspectives and cultural diversity
- Women, poverty and social inclusion
- Homelessness, housing, health promotion and well-being

Cityscape: A Journal of Policy Development and Research
Call for Articles NEW!
Cityscape is seeking articles documenting work by university-based architecture, landscape architecture, or planning programs to aid in the Gulf-region's disaster recovery process. Specifically, articles are sought documenting built or substantially completed projects, including homes, parks, and other community development projects. Articles will be published in the July
2008 issue. The issue will be edited by Kathleen Dorgan, AIA, Dorgan Architects; Michael Monti, Ph.D., Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture executive director; and Kinnard D.Wright, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

2008 NC Campus Compact Service-Learning Conference

Call for Proposals NEW!
This annual conference provides participants with valuable information and skills they can utilize in their service-learning and civic engagement work. For the 2007 conference, 247 faculty, staff and community partners were in attendance representing 42 campuses in 4 states.
We invite faculty, scholars, administrators, community partners and students who are involved in service-learning research, instruction and practice to submit presentation proposals. Conference participants will include learners and educators from the constituencies. Participant familiarity with service-learning ranges from beginner to advanced.
