Community Outreach and Assistance Partnership Program
The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC), operating through the Risk Management Agency (RMA), announces the availability of approximately $5 million in fiscal year 2008 for collaborative outreach and assistance programs for limited resource, socially disadvantaged and other traditionally under-served farmers and ranchers, who produce Priority Commodities as defined in Part I.C. Awards under this program will be made on a competitive basis for projects of up to one year. Recipients of awards must demonstrate non-financial benefits from a partnership agreement and must agree to the substantial involvement of RMA in the project.
Educational institutions, community based organizations, associations of farmers and ranchers, state departments of agriculture, and other non-profit organizations with demonstrated capabilities in developing and implementing risk management and other marketing options for priority commodities are eligible to apply. Individuals are not eligible applicants. Application Deadline: March 24, 2008.

The Max and Anna Levinson Foundation
The Max and Anna Levinson Foundation supports nonprofit organizations that are committed to developing a more humane and rewarding society in which people have a greater ability and opportunity to determine directions for the future. The Foundation’s grantmaking focus areas are Environment, including ecosystem protection and green economic development; Social, including human rights and world peace; and Jewish/Israel, including Jewish culture and Israeli issues. A.J. Muste Memorial Institute
The A.J. Muste Memorial Institute supports projects that promote the principles and practice of nonviolent social change. Funded projects must be concerned with one or more of the issues to which A.J. Muste dedicated his life: peace and disarmament, social and economic justice, racial and sexual equality, and the labor movement. Through the General Grant Program, the Institute makes about 25 to 35 grants annually to grassroots activist projects in the U.S. and around the world, giving priority to those with small budgets and little access to more mainstream funding sources. Go Girl!Go! Ambassador Team Awards
The GoGirlGo! Ambassador Team Awards program, sponsored by Gatorade and administered by the Women’s Sports Foundation, is designed to inspire teams to help fight the disturbing physical and psychological health risks affecting America’s youth. School, amateur, community, and nonprofit affiliated teams whose members are females enrolled in 9th-12th grade are eligible to participate in the program. Applying teams must lead their own project that will get girls in their communities physically active and submit a detailed essay describing the project. Twenty $2,500 grants will be awarded in recognition of the outstanding efforts of teams throughout the United States. The application deadline is July 18, 2008. Do Something Offering Weekly Grants for Young Social Entrepreneurs

Do Something is a not-for-profit organization that works to inspire, support, and celebrate young social entrepreneurs and community activists. The organization is accepting applications for the following grant programs:
- Do Something and GameStop are offering grants of $500 each to young people, age 25 and younger, in the United States or Canada who have a great idea for a community-action project and need support to turn their idea into reality. GameStop grants are given out weekly.
- Do Something and Plum TV are offering grants of $500 each to social entrepreneurs, age 25 and younger, in the U.S. who have recently created a sustainable project, program, or organization and need funding to further the growth and success of their program. Plum TV grants are given out weekly.

Funds for Targeted Programs in the U.S., Canada, and the Developing World
The Arthur B. Schultz Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life on earth through support of wildlands conservation, disabled recreation and mobility, international microenterprise, and global understanding. The Foundation’s grantmaking priorities include organizations supporting outdoor adventure opportunities for the disabled in the U.S. and programs providing wheelchairs for the needy overseas. In addition, socially and environmentally responsible entrepreneurial projects in the developing world are supported. Finally, the Foundation encourages initiatives designed to promote global peace and understanding between people of different nations and ethnic backgrounds.
