Sodexho is sponsoring $3,000 scholarships for any young person who is in school in the us (kindergarten through graduate school) and is doing great things to fight hunger and poverty in the us. Affordable Housing Built Responsibilty Program
Healthy Community Trees Program
The Home Depot Foundation supports nonprofit organizations in the communities where company associates live and work throughout the United States and Canada. The Foundation is dedicated to creating healthy, livable communities through the integration of affordable housing built responsibly and through the preservation and restoration of community trees. The Foundation’s Affordable Housing Built Responsibly Program provides grants to organizations that help families live in homes that provide safe, healthy environments and conserve energy, water, and other natural resources. The Healthy Community Trees Program provides grants to organizations that work to incorporate trees and landscape into the community development plans of towns and cities. The next deadline for letters of inquiry for both programs is March 1, 2008.

Dollar General Literacy Grants
The Dollar General Literacy Grants programs provide funding to literacy providers in the communities served by the company. The Adult Literacy Grants program supports nonprofit organizations that provide direct service to adults in need of literacy assistance by offering adult basic education, general education diploma preparation, or English for speakers of other languages. The Family Literacy Grants program supports family literacy service providers that offer programs for both parents and children. Eligible organizations must be located within 20 miles of a Dollar General store in the company’s 35-state market area. The application deadline for both programs is March 4, 2008. Community Outreach and Assistance Partnership Program
The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC), operating through the Risk Management Agency (RMA), announces the availability of approximately $5 million in fiscal year 2008 for collaborative outreach and assistance programs for limited resource, socially disadvantaged and other traditionally under-served farmers and ranchers, who produce Priority Commodities as defined in Part I.C. Awards under this program will be made on a competitive basis for projects of up to one year. Recipients of awards must demonstrate non-financial benefits from a partnership agreement and must agree to the substantial involvement of RMA in the project.
Educational institutions, community based organizations, associations of farmers and ranchers, state departments of agriculture, and other non-profit organizations with demonstrated capabilities in developing and implementing risk management and other marketing options for priority commodities are eligible to apply. Individuals are not eligible applicants. Application Deadline: March 24, 2008.

The Max and Anna Levinson Foundation
The Max and Anna Levinson Foundation supports nonprofit organizations that are committed to developing a more humane and rewarding society in which people have a greater ability and opportunity to determine directions for the future. The Foundation’s grantmaking focus areas are Environment, including ecosystem protection and green economic development; Social, including human rights and world peace; and Jewish/Israel, including Jewish culture and Israeli issues. Tony Cox Community Fund Grants for AIDS Outreach Projects
Cable Positive, the cable and telecommunications industry's AIDS action organization, is accepting applications for the Tony Cox Community Fund grant program. This national grant program provides support to community-based AIDS service organizations and cable outlets to partner in joint community outreach efforts, which may include producing or distributing locally focused HIV/AIDS-related programs and public service announcements, activities related to World AIDS Day or National HIV Testing Day, and other joint efforts. Funds for Targeted Programs in the U.S., Canada, and the Developing World
The Arthur B. Schultz Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life on earth through support of wildlands conservation, disabled recreation and mobility, international microenterprise, and global understanding. The Foundation’s grantmaking priorities include organizations supporting outdoor adventure opportunities for the disabled in the U.S. and programs providing wheelchairs for the needy overseas. In addition, socially and environmentally responsible entrepreneurial projects in the developing world are supported. Finally, the Foundation encourages initiatives designed to promote global peace and understanding between people of different nations and ethnic backgrounds. Do Something Offering Weekly Grants for Young Social Entrepreneurs

Do Something is a not-for-profit organization that works to inspire, support, and celebrate young social entrepreneurs and community activists. The organization is accepting applications for the following grant programs:
- Do Something and GameStop are offering grants of $500 each to young people, age 25 and younger, in the United States or Canada who have a great idea for a community-action project and need support to turn their idea into reality. GameStop grants are given out weekly.
- Do Something and Plum TV are offering grants of $500 each to social entrepreneurs, age 25 and younger, in the U.S. who have recently created a sustainable project, program, or organization and need funding to further the growth and success of their program. Plum TV grants are given out weekly.
