Site Supervisors
Thank you for agreeing to serve as the Site Supervisor for an NC-ACTS! AmeriCorps member. The purpose of the NC-ACTS! program is to meet critical community needs by engaging higher education students in service and fostering within them an ethic of lifelong civic responsibility. As a Site Supervisor you are an integral part of the success of the program by serving as a support for students as they engage in service.
Since the program began in 2004, our members have served at over 600 community based organization and schools throughout the state. Students serve in three primary areas:

Human Needs/Services
Volunteer Recruitment/Capacity Building
To serve as a host site, your organization should meet the needs of underserved communities and populations. After completing 300 service hours in one academic year, a student is eligible for an Educational Award of $1,000 which can be applied towards outstanding student loans or the cost of attendance at a college or university.

As the Site Supervisor, you will:
- Help develop and sign the member’s Site Agreement and Site Supervisor Agreement and, if applicable, the Criminal Record Check Verification as part of the member’s enrollment.
- Mentor and supervise the AmeriCorps member.
- Assist in training and orienting the member to the service site.
- Verify the member’s hours and activities each month by reviewing and signing his/her Time Logs.
- Complete a Site Supervisor Program Evaluation when the member exits the NC-ACTS! program.
