Campus Coordinators
Thank you for agreeing to serve as the Campus Coordinator for the NC-ACTS! AmeriCorps Program on your campus! Since North Carolina Campus Compact is working with so many different campuses across the state, the opportunity to have faculty, staff, and administrators, who can help serve as a communication and support bridge, directly contributes to the program’s success. As a Campus Coordinator, you play a key role as a liaison, campus contact, recruiter, orientation and reflection facilitator, and, at times, as a Site Supervisor.
If you have questions or concerns regarding your role, please refer to the Campus Coordinator Program Manual or contact the NC-ACTS! Program Director in the NC Campus Compact office. Click Contact on the left sidebar for the list of 2008-09 Campus Coordinators.
Visit each section below for important resources. If you have additional resources you are willing to share with the network, please send them to Leslie Garvin to post.

Reflection Resources:
Below is a listing of recommended reflection exercises and/or websites with descriptions of reflection and sample exercises. While you may select and utilize the reflection exercise of your choice, including ones not included on this list, please inform the NC-ACTS! Program Director of your intentions. You are required to sign the Exit Checklist at the end of the member's term of service to verify that they participated in two reflections.
“The critical component of successful service-learning programs is "reflection". Reflection describes the process of deriving meaning and knowledge from experience and occurs before, during and after a service-learning project. Effective reflection engages both teachers and students in a thoughtful and thought-provoking process that consciously connects learning with experience. It is the use of critical thinking skills to prepare for and learn from service experiences.”
