Awards
NC Campus Compact awards recognize the outstanding civic engagement work being carried out by various constituents on our member campuses. The awards are presented in conjunction with the three NC Campus Compact annual conferences. Nominees must work at or attend an NC Campus Compact member campus.
Community Impact Student Award
This award is presented to students who have made significant, innovative contributions to campus-based efforts to address community needs. Each member institution may choose one winner to represent their campus. The award recipients are recognized at the NC Campus Compact Student Conference in the fall. Robert L. Sigmon Service-Learning Award
This award is presented to an individual (faculty or staff)who has made significant contributions toward furthering the practice of service-learning. The award recipient is recognized at the NC Campus Compact Service-Learning Conference in February. The award is named in honor of native North Carolinian Robert L. Sigmon, considered one of the pioneers in the service-learning field. Click here for more information. Civic Engagement Professional of the Year Award
This award recognizes a staff person that has worked towards the institutionalization of service,created and strived towards a vision of service on their campus, supported faculty and students, and formed innovative campus-community partnerships. The award is presented during the Civic Engagement Administrators Conference. Click here for more information.
