We invite you to apply to be a North Carolina Campus Compact AmeriCorps*VISTA! We will begin accepting applications in February 2010 for VISTAs to start their year of service in July 2010.

Required skills and qualifications of NC Campus Compact VISTAs:
College Degree - A.B. or B.A./B.S.
Knowledge or experience on a campus and/or with the AmeriCorps*VISTA program.
Strong interest and experience in college community service programs.
Background in community service/service learning.
Commitment to the mission of the project and its impact on communities.
Knowledge and interest in working with students and young people.
Proven leadership ability and strong organizational skills.
Project and multi-task management, public speaking, event planning, excellent verbal and written communication
Desire to make a difference
To apply to the NC Campus Compact VISTA program:
You must submit an updated resume as a Word document to Jonathan Romm, Program Coordinator at jromm@elon.edu.
Select the “AmeriCorps VISTA” link at the top of the page.
On the right of the VISTA page, there is a search tool – you can either select to search for programs in North Carolina, and look through the listings to find ours; OR you can click on “Advanced Opportunity Search,” and then for Program Type select “AmeriCorps*VISTA,” and type in “North Carolina Campus Compact” for the program name.
You will then be able to view and apply to our VISTA program. When you select to “Apply Now!” you will be prompted to create a My AmeriCorps account and complete the application.
After completing the application, be sure to re-select North Carolina Campus Compact to submit your application to our program. (It is not automatically submitted after completing the application. You must hit "Apply Now" a 2nd time).
