What I am most looking forward to: This new learning and serving experience as an AmeriCorps VISTA.  I am excited about being a member of NC Campus Compact because I will be working with students and connecting them to service opportunities in their community and beyond to fight poverty.  In graduate school, we were constantly reminded of Gandhi’s quote, “Be the change you want to see in the world”, and that has stuck with me ever since.Working with the college students and getting them motivated to be more involved in community service. I am also looking foward to all the skills and experiences I will learn that will help me in pursuing a career working with college students. 

 

Something you should know about me: In May 2009, I graduated Radford University with a MS in Counseling and Human Development with a concentration in Student Affairs Administration.
