What
are we looking for?
Individuals who come out for Elon Mock Trial
will ultimately compete as an attorney, a
witness, or both. Consequently, anyone with an
interest in acting or in the law is encouraged
to come out. While no previous experience
is necessary, we strongly encourage individuals
to try out with any:

Public
speaking experience (.e.g., forensics,
debate, Model UN, etc.)
-
Interest in the law, especially trial law
and courtroom procedure
-
Any
theatrical or acting experience
We
have no age requirements, and encourage Seniors
to try out as much as Freshmen.
We
are looking to fill some key positions for
witnesses vacated by graduated students, and are
therefore especially on the look out for those
with acting experience. Please come find

What
can Mock Trial do for me?
Mock trial
will develop skills that you will use throughout
your undergraduate and professional careers.
Aside from traveling and making friends, mockers
develop exceptional critical thinking and public
speaking skills that can't be learned within a
classroom.
What if
I don't want to be a lawyer?
Many of
our members never went to law school and many of
our current members have no intention of going
to law school.
Do I
have to Try-out?
NO!
Elon Mock Trial doesn't conduct "try-outs".
We do, however, hold Evaluations at the
beginning of each year so we get an idea where
everyone is coming from.
Well,
where do we go?
Each year
Elon Mock Trial travels all over the country to
compete in 4-5 tournaments. In the past,
we have gone as far as Tucson, AZ and stayed as
close as UNC - Chapel Hill. Check out the

How do I sign up!?
Any Elon
student from ANY major can join the Mock Trial
team. If you're interested, look for us at
the Organization Fair on September 5 and/or come
to the Information Session on September 7.
