About Us |
|

Methodist
Fellowship Elon (MFE) is a student organization that
operates with the support of our faculty advisors,
student leaders, and local Methodist Churches. Our
meetings are on Monday nights from 6:30 - 7:30 pm in
Oaks Commons room 207. |
 |
|
|
At Methodist
Fellowship's weekly meetings we do a variety of
activities ranging from home cooked meals
and guest speakers to bible studies, and
volunteering at Loaves and Fishes. Twice a
year, on Reading Day, Methodist
Fellowship sponsors an event called
Cookie
Walk where we provide a cookie break to
Elon students while collecting canned goods for
Loaves and Fishes. |

Monthly Dinners and Guest Speakers

Once a month representatives from local churches provide a home cooked meal and guest speaker
for our meeting. |

Loaves and Fishes

Once a month Methodist Fellowship
volunteers at
Loaves and Fishes,
a local food bank, in downtown Burlington. We help stock shelves and
package food in preparation for the next day. Take a look at
pictures from our past visits in the
Photo Gallery. |

Picture Scavenger Hunt

Each year we start off the semester with a
Picture Scavenger Hunt. The following is the scavenger hunt from
this past fall.

| Twice a year Methodist Fellowship sponsors a
Cookie Walk on Reading Day in both the Fall and Spring semesters. Cookie Walk
is a way to give students a break from studying for their exams and
collect canned goods for charity. All of the cookies are
donated by local churches and members of Methodist Fellowship.
Pictures from past Cookie
Walks are in the
Photo Gallery. |
|

A couple of volunteers survey all of the cookies,
fruit, and other snacks donated. |
|

Students lineup in the hallway up to an
hour
before the event to get first pick. |

Before entering everybody has to
donate a couple of canned goods. |
|

At 8:30 PM the doors open
and everybody begins
filling their tray ... |

... with all of their favorite cookies.
|
|

Without the support of local churches and
the help of
volunteers, Cookie Walk
would not be possible. |
