Neighborhood Stormwater

If you neighborhood lies in Jordan Lake Wateshed, then rainwater falling on the streets and driveways carries with it nutients, sediment and debris into your local stream and eventually into Jordan Lake.

Stormwater structures are nessicary to remove the nutrients and pollution from the stormwater before the water reaches the stream.

Regulations about how stormwater is to be treated are regualted by the EPA under Phase I and Phase II and in North Carolina under the Jordan Lake Rules.
