Elon offers online courses to undergraduates during its summer sessions and as part of two graduate programs (the Master of Education and transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy).

Summer 2008 courses

During the first summer session, Elon will offer a wide variety of Web-based courses in a number of disciplines for undergraduate students currently enrolled at the university. The online courses will:

• Be taught entirely over the Internet, so you can complete all work from a remote location, provided you have the necessary computer hardware and software and a reliable Internet connection.
  
• Offer the same number of credit hours as courses taught on campus (typically four hours).
  
• Be delivered via Blackboard course management software. Faculty can ‘converse’ with students individually or in groups, post lecture notes, give assignments, and administer quizzes and tests from within their Blackboard sites.
