August

Every August, the Elon University Chapter of Habitat for Humanity facilitates a campus-wide carpet sale to raise money for building houses in Alamance County. In delivering carpets to the majority of First-Year students on move-in day, and many Second Year students, Habitat raises between $3,000 & $4,000 in a week!

September

September is a very busy & exciting month for the campus chapter! Each September, we have our first build of the year and our first trip to the Restore. We also participate in Elon's annual Organization Fair to talk to First Year students, and older students, looking to become involved with service on campus! Lastly, in September, we also host a Square Foot Club Fundraiser, asking friends, family, and community members to sponsor a square foot of our new house.

October

Each October, the campus chapter hosts an Alumni Homecoming Build, allowing alumni and students to work together on various Habitat building projects on campus, and throughout the community.

November

Each November, the campus chapter co-sponsors Campus Kitchen's Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week, which focuses on social justice issues in Alamance County, and North Carolina. In November, the chapter also hosts an Awareness & Advocacy College Coffee table to talk to students, faculty, and staff about our work, as well as allow more students to join the chapter.

December

Each December, the campus chapter volunteers at the University's Moravian Love Feast. There, chapter members act as ushers, servers, and candle bearers, supporting the success of the celebratory event.

January/February

Each January, the campus chapter hosts a unique service event to benefit local high school Habitat for Humanity chapters.

March

Each March, the campus chapter hosts Habitat for Humanity Awareness & Advocacy Week, including dinner profit shares for fundraising, a coffee & donut stand in the academic quad, various service and awareness events, and weekend Restore/Build opportunities. March also brings EV! Spring Recruitment, during which time we recruit new leaders for the Habitat for Humanity Executive Board.

April/May

During the final months of the semester, we host a variety of final service and awareness events, as well as fundraising events including profit shares, spring baseball games, and various on-campus partnerships.
