Every child orphaned by AIDS has a story. The caregivers from Catholic AIDS Action (CAA) who daily minister to these young boys and girls each have their story as well. Ziellda, whose mother died of AIDS, has a positive role model and shoulder to cry on in Vikki, a volunteer counselor at CAA. Leonard, who works in rural northern Namibia touches the lives of child-headed homesteads and makes sure that at least there is some food to eat for these AIDS orphans. Many outside of southern Africa fully understand how crucial activities of the faith community are in responding to the needs of those most affected by the tragedy of HIV/AIDS. The smiles of the young fuel the faith of the volunteers-and inspire hope for everyone.
