The social problems associated with the devastating HIV/AIDS pandemic are many and complex. This documentary gives a broad overview of what the people of Namibia are doing to deal with the life and death concerns of its 1.8 million citizens. AIDS leads to poverty and death, creating orphans and a new official category "Child headed household." Using interviews from orphaned children, non-governmental organization (NGO) leaders, HIV+ victims and activists, and other concerned Namibians, many stories are told. The complicated connections of cause and effect; How poverty is both caused by HIV/AIDS and at the same time how HIV/AIDS causes poverty, are made clear and given a human voice in this film.
