A.††††††† For Teaching Faculty

1.            The following holidays occur during the semesters indicated below.Classes will not be held on these days.

a.       Fall semester

2.            Exact dates for these holidays may be found on the annual university calendar, available from the office of academic affairs and the registrarís office.

 

3.            In addition to the holidays listed above, undergraduate classes are suspended for one day each spring to allow for assessment activities and presentation of student research.This date, usually in the first week in April, is published on the annual university calendar.Faculty members are expected to participate in the dayís activities.Dismissal of graduate classes that are scheduled for this day is up to the discretion of the instructor.Students should be notified of attendance requirements in the syllabus and in class announcements.

2.            A copy of the holiday schedule is posted on the human resources bulletin board located in the office of human resources.
