The Structural Pest Control Division is assigned the mission to maintain public health and safety through the regulation of the pest control industry and the pesticide products produced and used in the state. It is responsible for issuing licenses to commercial pesticide operators. It is also responsible for implementation and enforcement of regulations related to the industry. Pest control treatments are notorious for having its runoff pollute water. This is perhaps one of the most important water related divisions in the NC Agriculture Department.
