1. “The Most Fairest Goddess”
Students: Sophie Benoist, John Clark, Jenna Goldberg, Jessica
Hill, Ross Simpson, Shemika Withers - This is a film (in DVD
format) of a modernized/ farcical retelling of the “Judgment of
Paris,” the incident in which Paris, a prince of Troy, was
chosen to judge which goddess was “the fairest,” an incident
that, according to mythology, led to the Trojan War.
2. “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly”
Student: Will Heins - This is a web site devoted to three
interesting (but lesser known) Greek characters from the Trojan
War: Ajax (the Greater; Telamonian), Diomedes, and Thersites.
3.
“The Shield of Achilles” Student: Aaron Bishop - This work is a
digital art work, created with Adobe PhotoShop, representing the
shield of Achilles, as described in Book XVIII of the Iliad.
4. “The Shields of Achilles”
Students: Sarah Arnn, Keri Sheehan - This project is a pair of
physical art works, representing the shield of Achilles, one as
described in Book XVIII of the Iliad, and the other as described
in W.H. Auden’s poem “The Shield of Achilles.”

are here majors, minors, and students who have simply taken writing

artistic impulse.
