Elon Catholic Campus Ministry
Peer Ministry Coordinator

Thanks for your interest in Elon Catholic Campus Ministry's Student Ministry Coordinator position! The Student Ministry Coordinator (SMC) is a rewarding position designed for a recent college graduate desiring to spend a year of service to God and the Elon Catholic community. The SMC plays an integral role on the Catholic Campus Ministry staff, interacting closely with Elon students, encouraging them to become involved in the organization, and helping them grow in their faith. Through daily interactions with students at weekly programs, activities, and Masses, the SMC will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the students and counsel them through a very important stage of their faith formation.

The Student Ministry Coordinator is a one-year (ten-month) position, beginning in August of the academic year to the following May, with an option for a second year. The SMC must be a practicing Catholic, a self-starter, and a team player. In addition, the SMC should be professional, mature, outgoing, energetic, and personable. The SMC will receive a furnished residence at the Catholic Newman Center on Elon's campus, as living among the community provides the most effective way of ministering. The SMC is a salaried position, with medical and dental benefits (if not already covered under another plan), group life insurance, and a retirement plan. The SMC reports directly to the Catholic Campus Minister.
