Elon Homecoming Weekend: CCM Tailgate Welcomes Alumni

During the weekend of October 22 and 23, the entire Elon community was able to come together and celebrate our university with the help of our many alumni who had returned to campus. Our Catholic community was also able to celebrate!

We were blessed by visits from many Catholic alumni. CCM held our first football tailgate before the Elon V. Wofford football game. Gathering in the Harper Lot, CCM joined many other student organizations for a morning of food, friends and fun! It was a great time playing corner hole, ladder ball and grilling hot dogs and hamburgers. Thanks go to Matt for manning the grill for the morning and T for purchasing all of the food for us!

Along with our tailgate, we also held a Saturday afternoon mass. An intimate crowd was able to share in prayer together in the Elon Community Church, followed by an open house and reception at the Newman center. Many thanks go to the Touloupas family for once again helping us to welcome our visitors.

Visits from our young alumni Justin Sposato, Kara Cowdrick, Ryan Mather, Erica Gierlach, Rob Smeaton, Kelly Knowles, Nolan Wildfire, Christen Aquino and others were such a treat! I can't wait to make my own visits back to Elon and our Catholic Community and see how it has grown and developed.
