Blogs

Members of the Elon community are using blogs to foster teaching and learning in a variety of ways. This page is intended to feature several notable examples.

  • Photojournalism at Elon University
The purpose of this blog is to allow those involved in the craft of photojournalism, students and professionals alike, to display their work.
Students taking JCM 320 Photojournalism, here in the School of Communications, will be able to showcase their best work. Those who continue their studies in photojournalism can take JCM 470 Visual Storytelling. This course allows students the opportunity to create multimedia stories by adding audio to their still images. Content on this site will also broaden the learning potential with the use of multimedia tutorials for students to view at any time.
  • Faculty Tech Studio @ Elon
Faculty Tech Studio is about emerging technologies for university faculty - discussing, learning, creating, using. We host monthly studios for faculty to share what they are doing, and to hear from others about new technologies being used in and out of the classroom.
  • The WTAL Blog (Writing, Teaching, and Learning at Elon)
WTAL(E) is a virtual platform dedicated to understanding, promoting, and sustaining the teaching of writing at Elon. WATL(E) is a collaborative effort established in the fall of 2005 by eWPA (Elon Writing Program Directors) and CATL, (the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning).
  • GST 313: Law, Faith, and Tolerance
Course blog for Peter Felten's GST 313.
  • Imagining Technology (GST 364)
Course blog for Megan Conklin's GST 364.
