PROPOSED COURSES OF STUDY FOR BIOLOGY
Although 4 years may seem like a long time, many students find it difficult
to fit in all the courses and hands-on experiences (study abroad courses,
internships, co-ops, research, independent study, etc.) they would like
to have before graduating. Consequently, a good strategy is to plan in
advance so that you can tailor your educational experiences here at Elon
University to fit within a 4-year framework. To help you in this, we have
provided a recommended plan of study and a list of suggestions.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
*ANTICIPATE HOW CHANGING ONE CLASS IN THE SEQUENCE MIGHT AFFECT OTHER
CLASSES.
*REMEMBER THAT IN THE FALL OF YOUR SENIOR YEAR THERE IS A COMPREHENSIVE
EVALUATION (the ETS Exam)
*BOTH THE BIOLOGY MAJOR AND GENERAL STUDIES REQUIRE AN EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
COMPONENT—RESEARCH OR INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCES SUPERVISED BY BIOLOGY
DEPARTMENT FACULTY SATISFY BOTH REQUIREMENTS.
*DON'T FORGET TO CHECK PREREQUISITES AND WHICH BIO ELECTIVES ARE OFFERED
AS YOU PLAN YOUR SCHEDULE
*THIS SCHEDULE TOTALS 141-142 S.H. WHILE 132 S.H. ARE REQUIRED TO GRADUATE
-- CONSIDER HOW RETAKING CLASSES MIGHT AFFECT THIS SCHEDULE.
B.A. BIOLOGY
