Alpha Chi Omega is a national women’s organization that enriches the lives of its members through lifetime opportunities for friendship, leadership, learning and service.
In the Spring of 2001, Elon University decided the time had come to expand its Panhellenic Council and invited another sorority onto campus. Presentations were given by three organizations and after deliberation, Alpha Chi Omega was chosen.
Our chapter
The Iota Psi chapter of Alpha Chi Omega was colonized in the Fall of 2001. Eighty-seven women were initiated as the founding sisters of Iota Psi and they received their charter on November 17, 2001.It is now eight years later and Alpha Chi Omega is actively involved in many aspects of campus life and holds two campus-wide philanthropy events each year.
