| what elon students are saying about art history. | ||||||||||
| "One of the things that fascinates me the most about art history is its ability to change one’s perception of the world. I no longer simply look at art, but I actually see it, analyze it, and appreciate it. Not only has art history affected the way I see art, it has positively affected the way that I create my own art, and for that I am eternally grateful to the subject."
Nichole Rawlings '10 Art History Major |

| "It sounds trite to say that there is so much more to art than what the museum labels tell you. But after I took my first few art history classes here at Elon I have realized that statement is more true than I ever realized. Behind the canvas is a complicated yet intriguing entanglement of politics, economics, history, business, theory, and social controversies and movements. Art History lets you "see" the world unfold before your eyes" Sarah Simmons Art History Major, '09 |

| "Art History doesn't just involve art and history. It tricks you into learning politics, economics, science and culture while analyzing beautiful art work. It's a way of getting your head out of a book and learning through looking." Allison Edelblut '08 Art History Major |
