Class Projects and Individual Student Pages

One of the group projects this semester was to promote a community reading project devoted to raising science/technical literacy. Each group read, researched, and recommended a book for the community to read together. We gave group recommendations and wrote white papers on their choice.

In place of a final cumulative exam for the semester, the students within the class had the oppurtunity to choose a topic which interests, fascinates, or just plain upsets them and give a final presentation on the subject to the class. These projects range from anything within the fields of science or technology, and could be presented with a particular audience in mind that whould both understand and benefit from this infomation the most.

Here are some links to a selection of their papers:

Mammoths, Sabertooths, and Hominids White Paper. - Written by Chris Young, Kevin Linfors, and Kelly Raschka.
