Project: My project centers around Lilith, who in extra-biblical Hebrew tradition is Adam's first wife, expelled from the Garden of Eden for refusing to be sexually submissive to Adam. Later in Hebrew tradition, she is known as a demoness, and a succubi. My project is to figure out the origins of this myth, how they have affected Hebrew tradition, and what they say about the culture in which they were created.
