Project: I have been studying intentional Christian communities throughout
history. I have researched the Benedictine monks, the medieval Beguine community
of women, and the contemporary Catholic Worker community. It is fascinating
to me to see how these communities experience God, how they worship, and how
their worship sustains them in their everyday lives. I am also fascinated
with how each community chooses to interact with the outside world/ society.
Do they serve others as a community? I hope this year to spend some time in
an actual Catholic Worker community.
