Frequently Asked Questions (Students)

3.  What will probably go on in my meeting with the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs?

Answer:  During this meeting you will learn what circumstances caused the professor to have questions about your performance and what charges he/she has filed against you.  The Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs will make sure you understand the Elon honor code and your choices in the honor code process.

At the conclusion of the meeting you will either claim you are responsible or not responsible.  When requested,  up to 24 hours may be given to students to decide which plea they want to take.  The Assistant Vice President will let you know what steps you should take next and will explain the judicial process to you if you have elected to have your case heard by the judicial board.
