The Cultural and Intellectual Programs Committee met seven times during the 2002-03 academic year.After last year?s committee recommended that it be dissolved as a standing committee of the faculty, Academic Council charged our committee to reinvent itself this year and create a new committee ?focused on community life and fostering a rich and invigorating academic climate.?To meet that goal, the committee took the following actions:

In response, Academic Council recommended at its March meeting that the work of establishing the new committee be ongoing and that the Cultural and Intellectual Programs Committee be dissolved.
